Financial Information
Insurance
True North is pleased to be partnering with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Vermont for a pilot program as an in-network provider. For more information, click here.
Outside of this partnership, True North is committed to operating under best industry practices and providing the highest quality and most individualized treatment and planning possible. In order to maintain this level of care and individualized treatment, we do not accept health insurance. We do not bill insurance companies directly, sign or complete standardized claim forms, or appeal on behalf of families for insurance reimbursement. We will provide information directly to families so that they may submit a claim for insurance reimbursement on their own behalf.
There are many factors that determine whether or not costs for our services could be reimbursed by your health insurance policy. Health insurance reimbursement should not be relied upon to determine the affordability of True North tuition and fees.
With the help of an insurance advocate, many families have successfully received some reimbursement from their insurance company for services at True North. We recommend that all families seeking insurance reimbursement consult with a professional who can help them determine what they may be entitled to receive, and how best to pursue reimbursement. The following are insurance advocates who specialize in working with reimbursement for wilderness therapy programs and residential treatment:
