Sarah Lawrence, LCMHC will be moving into the role of Acting Clinical Director this summer!
Sarah is an extraordinary therapist who brings years of experience and a diverse skill set to True North. Sarah has been working with True North in various capacities for several years, including her focus on working with adolescent girls while also growing her family and establishing roots in Vermont after over a decade of living and working in Bozeman, Montana.
Sarah brings superior assessment ability, remarkable therapeutic intuition, experience in both wilderness therapy and residential treatment, and a background as a trained clinical supervisor to the role. These skills, combined with her genuine compassion for students, families, and coworkers, make her the ideal candidate to assume the role of Acting Clinical Director as our current Clinical Director, Mod Barefoot, embarks on an indefinite family leave following the birth of her third child at the end of August. Sarah will also be returning to the field as a Therapist/Course Leader in our adolescent girl’s program beginning this June.
Mod and Ty, True North’s founders and owners, continue to be actively involved in all aspects of daily operations and program development and will continue to work closely with Sarah and the rest of our team moving forward. Mod will also continue to support our admissions team and will participate in alumni programming and other development initiatives.
Please join us in welcoming our new Acting Clinical Director!
