Nate Hoff, BS
Executive Director
Nate (he/him/his) grew up on the Seacoast of New Hampshire and received a Bachelor’s in Science in Outdoor Studies: Environment from the University of Cumbria in the United Kingdom. While there, he gained hands-on experience in conservation and ecological research across Scotland and Northern Spain. He also volunteered in facilitating therapeutic outcomes for underserved youth with disabilities through team building and low ropes activities in the UK.
Nate joined True North in 2012 as a guide, and has since held progressively advanced leadership roles within the organization. His expertise and dedication led to his promotion to field director and to Program Director, where he brought his extensive field experience and outdoor educator background to True North’s administrative leadership team. Nate has overseen the successful execution of our day-to-day programs, while adapting as necessary to help True North remain at the forefront of an evolving therapeutic landscape. His appointment to Executive Director of True North Evolution comes as a result of his instrumental role in the development of our young adult programming.
Nate has played a key role in overseeing staff development, mentoring team members, and fostering a team deeply committed to upholding True North’s values while delivering top notch programming to our students. His guidance has been crucial in helping to steer the organization through change and supporting its continued success and growth. Outside of work, Nate enjoys exploring Vermont’s Green Mountains while boating, hiking, skiing, and traveling with his wife and dog.
